In this study, the causes of failures of coastal restoration efforts since the tsunami in Aceh have been identified and extracted from a variety of stakeholders. It is aimed for that stakeholders in Aceh are informed of these so that they can avoid the factors that contribute to failure. In this way, past mistakes can be prevented from being repeated in the future. In addition, this study also provides a range of information, experience, strategies and other matters relevant to supporting the rehabilitation activities undertaken by both government and NGOs.
